Liposomal Vitamin D3 & K2

LIPOSOMAL vitamins D3 + K2 is a high strength vegan liposomal vitamin D3 and K2 liquid supplement, which provides plant-derived vitamin D3 4000IU (cholecalciferol) and vitamin K2 100mcg (Menaquinone-7 (MK-7), a highly bioavailable form of vitamin K).

Why is this in the Liposomal Format?

Liposomes are tiny phospholipid bubbles that shield and protect these key vitamins against the harsh stomach acid of the digestive system, to help ensure they get absorbed into the bloodstream. Liposomes are made from the same material as cell membranes, so the nutrients can be absorbed straight into cells. This overcomes the absorption issues that tablets and powders can face. It is a perfect alternative to vitamin D tablets, sugary vitamin D gummies and vitamin D3 sprays.

Why does this have K2 in it?

When you significantly increase your vitamin D intake, it can cause a rapid increase in calcium levels. Vitamin K helps the body to absorb this calcium to ensure it goes to the right places (i.e. your bones and muscles) and isn't deposited into undesirable places (like arteries or soft tissue). Otherwise, these deposits could cause serious health complications, particularly for cardiovascular and bone health.

In order for vitamin D3 to be effectively absorbed and yield optimal results, it requires fat. By combining D3 and K2 with liposomes, the absorption of Vitamin D3 can be enhanced.

The vegan source of vitamin D3 comes from algae, with no animals involved in the process. It still produces the most body-ready form of vitamin D3, cholecalciferol, but it is also non-GMO (genetically modified), sustainably produced and Kosher certified.
